Welcome to Basingstoke NeighbourCare
Our Mission Statement
Basingstoke NeighbourCare assists those in genuine need in the local community by providing support to maintain their independence.
Our Aim
Basingstoke NeighbourCare was formed as a registered charity in 1997 to provide an accompanied transport service to those in genuine need in our community and, in 2010, a befriending facility was formally established. In 2022 and 2023 we added further services to support our older residents including Community Cafes/Social Groups, and Handyman and Gardening services. We are a key resource which enables people to stay independent and remain in their own homes for longer.
Can you help?
We are always in need of more volunteer drivers. Can you manage just a couple of hours once a week or once a month? There are lots of older and disabled people, and particularly for those who find it difficult to use public transport, they need our help!
You need to have your own car but we reimburse you at 45p per mile.
Any amount of time that you can spare will help us. You can choose what hours/days you are available and what duties you wish to undertake.
