VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED - call us NOW! Basingstoke NeighbourCare aims to provide practical help and assistance to people who need it in the Basingstoke area.  We are currently looking for and recruiting befrienders to help those who are all alone.  Can you spare an hour to join a neighbour for a cup of tea, or go for a walk?  Become a volunteer under our new Befriending initiative. This help is carried out by our marvellous team of volunteers . . however, with the growing success of NeighbourCare more volunteers are needed. CAN YOU HELP ?  If you have a talent for fund-raising or would like to help in more of a background role please call. Volunteering is enjoyable and very satisfying . . . you can actually make a difference to someone's life. The amount of time and commitment you offer is totally up to you.  You can offer as much or as little time as you want and even state exactly the sort of role you want to undertake. The office keeps a private database of volunteers willing to give help, highlighting who'se available for which mission.  Once a match has been made the admin team will give you a call and ask if you can fulfill the assignment. Volunteers using transport need not be out of pocket as a result of volunteering for NeighbourCare.  Petrol costs can be reimbursed.
