NeighbourCare welcomed a new Chairman at their recent AGM.
Frank McKenna retired as Chairman following a long and very appreciated
service with the local charity. Frank became the Treasurer for
NeighbourCare in 2004. In December 2008 he undertook the role of Acting
Chair and was elected to the Chair in June 2009.
During Frank’s time with NeighbourCare he has seen the charity weather a
particularly difficult funding crisis and emerge in better shape to
serve the community.
In the last two years, NeighbourCare has developed a befriending scheme
in partnership with Basingstoke Voluntary Services, diversifying its
range of services.
Frank said “NeighbourCare is an extraordinary force in local community
service, powered by its dedicated staff and indomitable volunteers.
I am delighted that Colin Hunsley, with his experience and enthusiasm,
has been elected Chair to lead the charity during these difficult times
and to guide it on its future course.”

local activities and feel I could not have found a more worthy cause
