Basingstoke
NeighbourCare was formed in 1997 with one simple aim...to be a
good neighbour. Today we are affiliated to over 120 other help
groups and we have the backing of the Church, Police and Social
Services.
Basingstoke NeighbourCare seeks to complete simple tasks for
people in Basingstoke who are in need, using a team of
volunteers. Old or young, anyone in genuine need can
make the call!
Basingstoke NeighbourCare will try and help out with all sorts
of requests. The most regular tasks include:
• Shopping - we'll do your shopping, or come with you to give
you a hand.
• Visits - we can help you visit someone in hospital or at home.
• Collection - we can collect your pension or prescription.
• Befriending - we can take time with the lonely or elderly
• Appointments - we can take you to your medical appointments
Simply phone the helpline on 01256 423855 advising what you need
NeighbourCare to do. The helpline is open between 9am and 4pm
Monday to Friday and there is an answer-phone service outside of these
hours. We will then try and match your request to our team of
volunteers when we
call you back with the results.
Donations are crucial to keep the charity funded. These
are used to help cover our running costs and
cover any travel costs incurred by our volunteers. We can accept local
authority travel tokens.
Call the helpline 01256 423855....Basingstoke NeighbourCare will
do as much as it can to help you........
